I'm Done! (sort of)

The Virginia state elections were yesterday. At around 9:00 pm last night, enough precincts had reported in that we were able to call the election in our favor; at about 10:00 pm last night, Doug Boulter (our opponent) called in to concede. Officially as of this morning, the numbers were 10,378 votes to 5,652, or 64.66% to 35.21%. Winning an election almost two votes to one feels pretty good, but right now I'm ready to take a break from working 14 hours a day and not having to think about precinct letters or voter turnout or canvassing or anything else.
In other good news, the Barker for Senate race pulled out a huge victory for the Democratic party, and became one of the four seats the Democrats took back last night to regain control of the Senate. So, all around, it was very good night last night. And now that I have more time, I will (!) do a better job of posting more frequently than once every few months.
